Tuesday Talks #11 - There's a Moon Among These Stars!

She was taking her last breath. We all sat around her with tears in our eyes. She did not leave until she saw everybody. And when the last member of the family came, she took a deep breath and, never breathed again. There was silence. No more pain, no more suffering, just silence. I still remember how she lay on the floor, looking upwards at the sky, gone forever.

She grew up with me. How can a puppy not be a toddler's best friend? She had a heart of gold. When my little sister slept, she used to sit beside her. As soon as she woke up, this little being would go and continuously look at mommy to inform her that the tiny baby is awake now. The way she greeted us when we entered the house, that was heavenly. She was the perfect definition of unconditional love and joy.

Now, when she is gone, her absence hits harder. Even though we got a new pet, nobody can fill the place she holds in our hearts. It's the same in this world of humans. We miss someone and understand their importance only when they are gone. And when they have gone very faraway, we regret. That regret starts killing us from inside.

Value those who give you their time. No one is free. Why do they message or call you? Not because they're trying to intrude into your lives but just because they care for you, they care about the bond you share with them, they have a good heart. Never ignore these people, never.

One day, when you wake up, you might realise that you lost a real precious gem while searching for another among the fake ones. Once contact is lost, once that bridge collapses, it's really hard to restore it
If you ever meet the next time, you feel that strangers' vibe. Believe me, it feels so bad.

You might think why to disturb anyone without a reason. Sorry to say but your thinking is completely wrong. I bet half of the world population feels so lonely but anybody rarely gets up to cure that. Now most of that happens because nobody is ready to give up their ego!

"Why should I message/call first? They never did!"
(Bruh, they might be shy)

"They might be busy."
(No, they're not)

"School/College/Work over, friendship over"
(Wow, what a logic)

"Oh, they'll gossip about me later on."
(Let them do, you did your part and that was good *cheers*)

"They'll think I am so annoying."
(Your heart knows you are doing right, ignore all other thoughts)

Sometimes you never know if you are spending your time with a wolf hidden in the costume of a sheep. Due to that, you unintentionally lose the real ones. It's kinda hard but you can always feel that unique connection you have with someone if they are true. Intuition is a real thing!

This isn't a video game. Nobody's getting a second life here. So stop overthinking. Do what your heart says. Live.

So what's stopping you?! Text or call a person now who you really think deserves that little time of yours. Be it a friend, a relative or anyone else! Good luck!

Tuesday Talks #10 - It's Okay to Cry

Tuesday Talks #10 - It's Okay to Cry

I reached the school crying. Took a deep breath, wiped off the tears and put a fresh smile on my face. At least others' day should not be negative! Don't worry, your happy soul is still happy. This scene happened only twice. Once when our pet passed away and another time when someone's words hit me really hard, very hard. It's okay to cry.

The pillow which absorbed your tears, the walls of the room or washroom which heard you cry, the mirror which mimicked your expressions, the sad songs and quotes which understood you far better than anyone else, all of these became your best friends when nobody was there to give a shoulder to cry on, when you couldn't tell anyone anything.

It feels so light after crying, right? As if you just removed a gigantic burden off your mind, as if you jumped off a mountain. Phew! Suddenly, the world around you becomes a movie. You get a better understanding of what to do next.

Sometimes people misunderstand this emotion as a tactic to gain sympathy. We can't explain our point to everyone every time. It's utter foolishness and wastage of time. Many a times, you are labelled as weak if you cry. But trust me, it's okay to cry! We are humans and not machines. Emotions do not discriminate whether you are a woman or a man, black or white, rich or poor. We have feelings and emotions and we have the right to express them. It's natural. Sometimes we are alone and the other times we have our family or friends as the helping hand.

Never ever burrow your feelings inside you. Never! It's really dangerous. If you have to grow and progress in life, you need to overcome these barriers first. Then only you'll be able to focus on what you really want in life. At times, we need to let our emotions out, it's healthy. Wash away every negative feeling with those precious tears. The past will never change and the future is uncertain so enjoy the present moment. God has planned the best for you, you just need to wait and trust in the Power.

Whenever you feel like crying, do it. Of course, your problems won't vanish magically but it will surely lighten up your mood. Also, think of all the things that brought you where you are today. Recall your past successes. Remember how we all found it so hard to do math problems in class 2nd but now- Boom! We laugh seeing those. See life that way. If you are in a situation that is really bad and is making you worried, think of all your past accomplishments where you thought you wouldn't make it but you nailed it and proved that you are a champion, no matter how high the mountain in front of you is. Keep a positive mindset, I swear it works everytime.

So, it's okay to cry!

That Gust of Wind

A gust of wind
Blew me away.
Had millions of thoughts...
But I couldn't say.
It gave me eyes
And I was swayed.
Then it left,
Making every colour fade.
Hope is the only light
Which now remains.
That gust of wind
Will forever bring sweet rains.

Tuesday Talks #9 - Time Flies ...

(I wrote this on 11 September 2021...)

Tuesday Talks #9 - Time Flies ...

I was looking at my old photos when I was a chhota baby (little baby). Then I looked at myself in the mirror and kept on staring. I realised how much I changed. Not only my physical appearance but my mind also, not only did I change but a lot of things did.

This year, I'll be an adult officially. Now that is where nostalgia plays its role. Then I travel down the memory lane. Golden and precious! Over the past years, how many people came and left. So many people who I knew left for their heavenly abode and I never imagined that but as the years rolled by, I understood that nothing is permanent in this life. So always celebrate the moment you are in now and thank God for where and who you are today.

When I observe the environment around me, I am surprised to learn how much it has changed over the years. Those school going children are now dispersed in different cities and working hard to achieve their dreams. That energetic uncle and aunty who used to drive to their workplace every morning are now retired and have embraced every disease including diabetes, hypertension and what not. That peaceful grandma in the next house is present no more and her sons have parted their ways. The little puppy next door has grown to be a full fledged beast now. What remains same is the guava tree in the yard and it never forgets to fruit.

I see the pencil marks on that wall which marked how tall we grew every three months, that inflated ball and that broken cricket bat with which the whole family used to play with us as toddlers, that small bicycle which now stays alone mostly, those awards and shields which get polished every Diwali, those books which are preserved but never opened and so much more. God! So many changes. Do you realise we are so different now? Like a complete different being from what we used to be.

From explaining our point till we won the argument to keeping quiet and letting it be, we became mature. From being stubborn about those petty things to making sacrifices, we learnt a lot. From thinking nobody understands us to sympathising with everybody, we grew up. Yes, we grew up. So did everything around us. We left behind a lot and a lot is yet to come.

Life will not be the same again. Not at all. However, the cycle will repeat. We will keep on seeing our memories in one way or the other, in things or in people. Change is the law of nature! So let's accept it happily. The magic tip is to always live in the moment. We don't know what life holds for us the next second. Cherish the memories you made and be hopeful for the time coming ahead.

Alert! It's gonna be a roller coaster ride - highs n lows but worth the joy!

Nothingness

We all need a pause sometimes, a simple break, a break to get away from the hustle of life. Sometimes we feel - "Oh, it's so exhausting!". It really is.

Buddy, life gets so complex sometimes that you yourself forget what you were up to. You forget everything about your existence on this Earth. Ever felt like that? It seems like a fairy tale. You live in your own world, the one in your head.

Then suddenly, you get touched by reality again. It's painful. It's gruesome. Still it's beautiful because this will never come again to you in the same way it is now. Enjoy it. Time flies. Good things take time.

Touch of the Breeze

The cool breeze rushes through
my flowing locks.
It greets so warmly that
a gush of positivity unlocks.

The tree dances happily,
its leaves show boundless beauty.
The chirping birds make me realise,
I have an unfulfilled duty.

The sparkle glistens brightly,
Showing me a path to tread.
It radiates endless hope, tells me to
Be my own friend.

More Than Life

More Than Life

Some cross that bridge

and go to a place unknown.

This night's gonna be tough

but keep waiting for the beautiful dawn.

That touch might have got vanished

but not those memories.

Stop missing, start living,

you still have to create infinite stories.

Durga

When she says no, understand,
There's always a bitter truth behind.

She doesn't set any boundaries,
The devils around her do.

She has the right to be free
And not be bound in a cage.

She is not the subject of any joke,
Not an object to be laughed at.

She is already made perfect,
Somebody else needs to be scolded now.

Why should she live in fear,
When Durga resides in her.

Worshipping idols will not do,
Respecting the living will.

Don't think her to be powerless.
She's not made to be crushed.

If you shake this calmness,
Storms are sure to come.

Oh This Tranquillity !

There is some sound in this silence

Which speaks to me,

Promising good time,

Telling me to be brave.

When the world is in its dreamland,

there comes a fairy

Bringing the glare of goodness,

Spreading good light everywhere.

There is some magic in this silence,

It doesn't let me stop,

There is some mystery in this silence,

Bound to be unravelled one day ...

Cheer Up !

Cheer Up !

I am powerful,

I am matchless,

I can touch the sky,

I can shine like a star.

The world awaits me,

My throne needs me.

I will fall and get up,

My vocab has no "giving up".

Gearing up for the journey,

The lion in me is ready to roar ...

Grey

Falling into a well,
a well so deep
where even echo isn't heard,
I caught hold of a rope,
a rope so strong
which could bear every weight.
But I was in doubt:
Could it carry the weight of 'heaviness'?
Sadly, it could not.
The journey down seemed endless
till something held me,
Was it God's Hand?
Yes, it was.
It was there to rescue me.
I asked, "Why me?".
"Because you are special, unique".

The darkness faded away,
Once more, I was in light filled with 'grey'...
